Tom Selwood appointed Non-Executive Chairman
Agri-Biofuels Global Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Selwood as Non-Executive Chairman, with effect from 20 March 2026.
Tom brings over a decade of senior financial leadership in the Nordic energy and renewables sector. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Aker Offshore Wind, the floating offshore wind business in the Aker group, where he established the finance function, presented quarterly results to the public market, and led the company through M&A and a take-private process.
He subsequently led treasury and structured finance at Aker Horizons — the Aker group's renewables platform — where over four and a half years he was responsible for establishing and managing debt facilities, negotiating project finance deals, and developing structured finance models for carbon capture, green ammonia, and green hydrogen projects. During that period he co-led the restructuring of a $1.5 billion project finance facility relating to solar and onshore wind assets in Chile.
In parallel, Tom served as Chairman of the Board of Freja Offshore, a Swedish offshore wind joint venture, where he chaired a board that included the former Finance Minister of Sweden, appointed the CEO, and led strategic governance through the company's growth phase.
His earlier career includes senior commercial finance roles at Aker Solutions and Aker Energy, including responsibility for joint venture structures and major project financing. He has also served on the Council Board of the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce, and most recently held an interim Group Finance Director role at The Ardonagh Group.
Tom trained as a Chartered Accountant with EY.
Ross James, Founder and CEO of ABGL, said:
"Tom brings exactly the discipline ABGL needs as we approach our LSE Main Market admission. His combination of market-facing CFO experience and chair-level governance is rare, and directly relevant to where we are."
Tom Selwood joins a board led by Ross James as Founder and Chief Executive. ABGL is preparing for admission to the LSE Main Market under the new Equity Shares (Commercial Companies) — ESCC — category.
Ends.
